Visit Bend

Known as the Disneyland of outdoor recreation, with a multitude of activities from mountain biking, hiking, snowboarding and rafting within 30 minutes, all beneath some of the most stunning scenery on the planet. We're a dog loving, cosmopolitan mountain town filled with fabulous restaurants for the foodies and more craft breweries per capita than any other city in Oregon.
If it’s your first time visiting, or you’d just like a little direction on this trip, may we suggest what we would consider to be the “perfect” Bend day?
While Bend is known for its many stylish hotels, our favorite is the luxurious Oxford Hotel, located right in the heart of historic downtown. The rooms are beautiful and the staff is amazing. Prepare to be pampered!!
Next up is breakfast. The Victorian Cafe or the "Vic" has been voted Best Breakfast in Bend 15 times by locals and we couldn't agree more. They are famous for their assortment of eggs benedict, and when paired with a Vic Bloody Mary, it's a next level experience.
After breakfast, you must check out some of the hiking trails that we’re so famous for. You don’t even have to leave the City limits to take advantage of the Deschutes River Trail (view map), which starts right in the middle of the Old Mill District and meanders along the Deschutes for just over 3 miles. Want to level up your hike? Drive 30 minutes North to Smith Rock State Park and attempt the Misery Ridge trail. Yes, it's about as fun as it sounds, but the views are worth it!
Now that you’ve worked off breakfast, it’s time for lunch! El Sancho has your back with some of the best street tacos you’ll ever have. Their Beef Barbacoa is an HB favorite!
After lunch, find out why Bend has been called "Beertown USA" and the "Napa Valley of Beer", it truly is a beer lover’s paradise. Hop on a Cycle Pub (which is an experience in itself) and spend the afternoon on the Bend Ale Trail exploring our award winning craft-style breweries. There's even an app to help you find your way to each brewery on the, Bend Ale Trail.
To round off your Bend day, treat yourself to the best restaurant we have to offer: Bos Taurus. Just down the street from the Oxford Hotel, the atmosphere, service and food are amazing. I challenge you to find one dish that doesn’t rock your world. The Japanese Miyazaki A5 Wagyu has left us speechless. For an even more mouthwatering experience, take them up on their wine pairing recommendations. This place alone will make for an unforgettable night.
